National Security Education
	NDUF has a well established tradition of supporting events that foster debate and discussion for both National Security professionals and the general public. NDUF provides funding for over a dozen on-campus national security education events. In addition we are proud to work in partnership with NDU Press, providing publications with the latest research and information on National Security. The Foundation sponsored Colin Powell Chair for National Security Leadership, Character and Ethics brings high level experts into direct contact with our NDU students. 	Outreach and Public Awareness
	Supporters of NDU have made it clear: they want to be informed about the National and International security efforts that occur at NDU. NDUF reaches thousands of individuals through it’s special events, publications, website and electronic newsletters. These outreach tools bring attention to the vital National Security topics, professional networks and initiatives that make NDU instrumental to a stronger U.S.
	International Programs
	The opportunity to build international peer networks among senior officers and national security professionals at NDU is unlike any other in the world. International Students are among the most valued students at NDU. Most participants will go on to hold key positions at the highest levels in their governments. NDUF provides critical funding and administrative support to the International Student Management Office for the International Fellows Program, the CounterTerrorism Fellows Program and the American Cultural Package in some cases where minimal government funding exists.
	Faculty and Research Support
	To maintain NDU's stature as the pre-eminent institution for education, research, and outreach in national and international security, NDUF strives to enhance the faculty with real-world practitioners and recognized experts supporting academic chairs otherwise unavailable through government funds. Professors, research assistant and interns add immeasureable value to the "margin of excellence" at NDU.
	Campus Wide Support
	NDUF supports a wide range of other, equally important endeavors that benefit and impact all components of NDU including supporting the world reknowned NDU Library, offering restricted fund management and accounting, underwriting awards and incentives and sponsoring university wide networking events. These necessities would not be possible without NDUF and you.
	NDU Foundation Annual Campaign
	Annual support of NDUF provides versatile and unrestricted funding that allows NDU leadership the flexibility to address immediate campus wide needs with discretionary funds and permits the foundation to serve NDU.  Annual campaign gifts are put to work immediately where they are needed most. Your contributions to NDUF's annual campaign are creating opportunity, improving national security, and providing much-needed resources to our students and faculty.
	The American Patriot Award
	The American Patriot Award Gala is the NDU Foundation's annual signature event, honoring individuals who have displayed an uncommon patriotism through their commitment to our national security. This elegant evening serves to bring attention to the National Defense University and also provides substantial funding for its support. Contributions to the Sponsor a Patriot Program, which brings service men and women to the event to also be recognized as patriots, offers you the opportunity to show your appreciation to our armed forces members in a significant way.
